New Zealand has a good health system, in the event of an emergency you move straight into the system without delay. However, if your condition is not immediately life-threatening you might find yourself on a waiting list for treatment. Waiting lists are a fact of life and as pressures on the health system grow they are unlikely to ever get smaller.
Medical insurance will help give you access to the very best medical care at a time that suits you, and in the hospital of your choice.
Coverage Options
A variety of different coverage levels are available to suit every budget. Options range from 100% surgical coverage, to percentile surgical coverage, with a range of deductible – the amount you pay in the event of a loss – options available. Carrying a larger deductible personally, will reduce the amount you pay for coverage.
A full range of optional extensions are available also such as coverage for optician and doctor’s visits. We access and utilise a variety of insurance providers including Southern Cross, Onepath, and Sovereign.
